MS Program in Management

IBA Karachi offers admission in Master of Science (MS) Management and various undergraduate and graduate programs. The MS Program in Management is intended to prepare students for quality research and analysis in the Management field. A sound and state of the art theoretical base is provided in the general area of Management and in one of the following specialization areas; Strategy & Organization, Operations Management and Entrepreneurship. This is accompanied by developing research skills in qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The program is targeted at challenging students mentally and enabling them to make contributions towards the awareness and practice of Management.

Eligibility for MS Management

A minimum of 16 years of education in any discipline from a local or foreign institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission, securing a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 or 60% marks in their last degree. No experience is required for this program.

Entrance Test

An aptitude test is conducted that includes English Composition (MCQs), Mathematics (MCQs) and Essay Writing. Note that the difficulty level of the test is same as GRE General and GMAT. An aspirant is required to secure Minimum score of 650 in the Quantitative GRE General, 160 in Quantitative section and 160 in Verbal section of Revised GRE General or 600 score in GMAT.

MS Journalism Program

Masters of Science in Journalism is the inaugural program at the Centre for Excellence in Journalism at IBA. The 1.5-year long program allows students to delve themselves into all forms of journalism and acquire practical experience in a newsroom under the guidance of experienced instructors. This is a golden opportunity for students to learn modern skills to enable them to find job in reporting and production across media platforms and learn about the connection of technology with media and the power it will have on the industry in Pakistan.

BS- Social Sciences and Liberal Arts

It is a four-year multidisciplinary undergraduate program with major offerings in Media & Communications, Psychology and Political Science. The program aims to help students develop the theoretical, historical, and experiential understanding they will need to interact with the social and cultural world.
