The University of Health and Sciences UHS is going to conduct Test on Sunday, 25th August, 2019. The test shall start at sharply 10 am. It is being conducted in the cities of Southern Punjab that are Bahawalpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and DG Khan and that of Central Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Sialkot. From the Northern Punjab Rawalpindi and Hassan Abdal.

The candidates can select any of the above mentioned cities in accordance with their convenience.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for MDCAT must have domicile of any district of Punjab and Islamabad (ICT). Foreign Nationals/overseas Pakistanis can appear in MDCAT 2019 as well.

Medical and Dental Colleges

According to the new (30th May, 2019) amendment in Admission Regulations-2018, candidates must have secured at least 70% marks in Intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical Group or Equivalent Examination.  The result awaiting students can also apply. Only appearing in MDCAT doesn’t determine the claim to admission to any medical and dental institution.

How to Apply for MDCAT 2019

Candidates can apply only Online by logging on to the website of Bank of Punjab https://www.bop.com.pk/MDCAT-2019. The students can only apply using computer or laptop but not cell phones. The candidates are required to strictly follow the instructions and accurately put the required credentials. A candidate also needs to upload a recent photograph that must not exceed 2mb. After completely filling the application form, applicant can have a preview of his/her form and can check out for any mistakes. Once aspirant has revised the information, he can submit the application by clicking Submit button at the bottom. It is worth to note that after submitting the application, it cannot be changed. After successful submission of the application, candidate will be granted a unique application serial number that can be further used for accessing the submitted application and admittance card. Get a print of the submitted application.

Note: Only one application can be submitted on a single ID card/Passport number. If a candidate submits more than one application, the registration shall be cancelled immediately.

Fee submission and issuance of Admittance Card

After completion of application form and taking printout of it, student or any representative of him/her can visit nearest Bank of Punjab during Bank timings. Rs.1300/- is the MDCAT fee that is to be submitted in the BoP and is non-refundable. After collecting fee and application, the bank official will return the candidate’s copy of the form to the candidate or his/her representative. On successful submission of application form and fee, the candidate shall get the admittance card bearing his/her roll number and examination centre through Text SMS and Email. Schedule

The online registration for the MDCAT will start from Friday, 19th July, 2019 and the deadline to get register is Monday, 29th July, 2019 till 4:00 pm. The collection services for MDCAT application forms and fee shall be available at all the braches of Bank of Punjab (BoP) around Pakistan during Bank timings from the starting date of registration till the last date excluding Saturdays and Sundays.

Syllabus of the test

MDCAT syllabus is available online at http://www.uhs.edu.pk/mcat/syllabus2019.pdf. The candidates need to prepare their entry test according to the updated syllabus. Students are warned against preparation from conventional academies.

MDCAT Pattern and Result 2019

The total number of Multiple Choice questions will be 200. There will be 80 MCQs from the updated Biology, 60 from Chemistry, 40 from Physics and 20 from English. Each MCQ will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking. The time duration to attempt paper will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Minimum 60% marks i.e., 120/200 are required to pass the test.

The question paper will be of different codes in which the sequence of questions will be shuffled up. Double Sheeted Response Form will be given to the students to mark their answers on. When the student will mark any answer on the upper sheet, it will automatically transfer to the lower carbonized sheet that can be taken by the student at the end of test. Within 12 hours, the University will display the answer key for all codes. While the official result will be declared later at www.uhs.edu.pk. Student can challenge or ask doubtful question through email at info@uhs.edu.pk till 6:00 pm on the test day.

Important Instructions

First of all, candidates need to reach their respective test centres before one hour i.e., 9:00am. The test centres will be closed at 9:15 am.

Things to keep along

Following are few things you need to know before heading towards test centre:

  • Original Identity card/NICOP/POC or Smart Card issued by NADRA or Original Passport.
  • Printout of Admittance Card issued after application and fee submission.
  • A Clean Clipboard.
  • Two blue ball points (pencils, pointers, markers and jell pens are not allowed)

No candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre without Original Identity Card or Passport and Admittance Card. Bear in mind, you have to provide a valid email address and phone number in the Online Application. The Bank of Punjab web link https://www.bop.com.pk/MDCAT-2019 will be activated with the start of registration i.e., Friday 19th July 2019. To make students familiarize with the rules and regulations, the Information Booklet of MDCAT 2019 shall be accessible on University website www.uhs.edu.pk when the registration process will start.
