Application forms are accessible from 24th June, 2019 onwards against the payment of Rs. 1500/- or by post against a Bank Draft worth Rs. 1700/- in favour of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, Lahore. Last date for submission of application forms will be 20th July, 2019.

Application Procedure

Applications forms can be obtained at Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design official website. For that, just log on to www.pifd.edu.pk. The candidates applying through downloaded forms will submit their applications along with the Cash / Proof of online payment of Rs. 1700/- in A/C # 50397000268851(HBL, Expo Centre, Lahore).

Entry Test, Merit Lists and Interviews

Admission Entry / Aptitude Test (English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Drawing and Creating Skills) for candidates across Pakistan will be held on 24th July, 2019. The applicants from Punjab will appear in PIFD Campus Lahore for the entry test. The Candidates from other provinces may appear in the centres set up by TDAP offices at Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta.

List of interviews will be displayed on PIFD Notice Boards/Website on 25th July, 2019. (Evening). Interviews at PIFD Main Campus will be conducted on 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st July, 2019. First Merit List of selected candidates will be displayed on Notice Boards/PIFD Website on 02nd August, 2019. Letters for admission with Challan will be available on 02nd August, 2019. Some other important dates to remember are:

Last date for submission of fee (First Merit List): 08th August, 2019.

Second Merit List of selected candidates will be displayed on 09th August, 2019.

Letters for admission with Challan: 09th August

Last date for submission of fee (Second Merit List): 16th August, 2019.

Orientation / Commencement of FYS will be on 19th August, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

Intermediate/ A-Level with 50% (550/1100) marks.

A-Level with (Minimum 3 main subjects, no subsidiary).

Result awaiting intermediate students are also eligible for provincial admission. They need to attach the attested copy of Part-I Result Card and Part- II Roll No. Slip of their respective Boards with the documents.

A-Level result awaiting students need to submit Statement of Entry. Be that as it may, provisional admission, if granted will not be given the green signal without Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC with 50% marks.

High School diploma holders are also required to submit IBCC Equivalence with 50% marks. Candidates applying on open merit or quota basis will need to appear in pre-admission Aptitude Test (Entry Test) accompanied by an interview.

Important Documents Required

Applicants are required to attach the attested photocopies of the following documents with the form.

(a)        Matriculation/O Level Certificate

(b)        Detailed Marks Card of Intermediate/A-Level along with Equivalence Certificate (IBBC)

• Character Certificate from the institution last attended
• Copies of CNIC of the applicant and Father/Guardian
• Monthly Income Certificate of Father Guardian
• Domicile Certificate
• Physical Fitness Certificate
• Copies of CNIC/B-Form of the applicant and Father/Guardian.
• Pages 1-5 of Passport for Foreign Students.
• Four Passport size attested photographs in light colour background

All the applicants are required to bring Entry Test Slip, Receipt of Form, one attested photograph with them at the time of Entry Test and Interview.

After the display of merit list, all the selected applicants are required to bring the original documents, one set of attested copy of these documents and four photographs at the time of depositing the dues.

The selected candidates will be admitted provisionally and the ‘Verification Committee’ will confirm admission after the verification of the documents. If at any point, after the admission, the authorities find that the documents provided by the applicant are fake or there is a misstatement or clerical error in the documents, his/her admission will be cancelled.
